About

MY STORY

Dr. Peterson received his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University in 1982 and completed dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center located at the world famous Medical Center in Houston.  After graduating from dental school, he spent the next 11 years building a private practice from scratch.  During those early years in his career, he had many mentors; the most influential during that period was Dr. Omar Reed of NAPILI / PENTEGRA.  Dr. Reed taught him the importance of communications in a professional practice.

In 1989, Dr. Peterson was influenced by a master of influence and persuasion; Walter Hailey.  Mr. Hailey introduced him to the power of masterminding and was instrumental in his starting two companies that launched two unrelated infomercials, all in a 2 year period while simultaneously building his dental practice.  This would be where he really learned the power of DIRECT RESPONSE MARKETING.

"In 1990, I picked up Tony Robbin's book, "Unlimited Power" and couldn't stop reading!  I attended seminars, listened to and read everything I could with Tony Robbins, Dr. Deepak Chopra, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Dale Carnegie, Leo Buscaglia, Norman Vincent Peale, Napolean Hill, Stephen Covey…the list goes on.  In 1994 when I was approached by a coach from FORTUNE PRACTICE MANAGEMENT, and discovered that the company was owned by Tony Robbins, without any hesitation at all, I signed up"!

Tony was an important influence in shaping many of Dr. Peterson's core beliefs about personal power and building relationships while deepening his understanding of the importance of leadership and excellence in communications.  Combining 4 years of self improvement study with Tony's Fortune Practice Management concepts, Dr. Peterson was able to DOUBLE the production in his private practice and INCREASE THE NET PROFIT to 80%; in 12 MONTHS!

With a passion for wanting to reach more people with the principles he'd learned, Dr. Peterson moved his family to Austin, TX  in 1996, and accepted a Chief of Staff position with a large publicly traded dental company.  Within 6 months, he was responsible for a 100% INCREASE in production with the office he lead and contributed to ideas and concepts that were implemented in offices located in other parts of the country.

As the Dental Practice Management sector of Wall street proved to be an unsuccessful model and stocks in the dental niche were tanking, he turned to an entrepreneur friend of his that was starting up a business in a thriving niche; music!  Helping his friend raise capital, they spun off another company in the music business; and in 1999, he founded a music marketing service/management company that served musicians in Austin, Texas.

The company showcased two Austin bands in Koln, Germany at the world's largest music festival, PopKomm.  One of bands they managed, toured the country and opened for John Michael Montgomery at the Las Vegas Air Show.

In 2000 when the internet bubble busted, raising money to continue to serve musicians became difficult and Dr. Peterson moved his family to North Texas to join a private multi-doctor, multi-specialty group dental practice.  Dr. Peterson was an integral part in helping this group practice grow to 3 offices and almost TRIPLE DIGIT GROWTH in 7 years!

Today, Dr. Peterson is still practicing "wet fingered" dentistry.  When he is not treating patients in his general practice in Hurst, he is helping other local dentists and professionals to market and manage their practices.  He’s using online and offline strategies, concepts and principles learned from his own experience, the experience of others within his professional, as well as best practices used in other industries.
